◈ Official absence Students who missed classes due to health issues, school events, or family affairs could claim an official absence through below steps: - Step 1: Prepare the documents listed below and visit the ABIS office (S231) - Step 2: Get an approval from the office (take 2~3 days) - Step 2: Visit the professor to ask if he or she can excuse you for the absence ※ However, please keep in mind that the actual attendance must be more than 2/3(two-thirds), and actual attendance + official absence must be more than 3/4(three-fourths) to pass the class ◈ Types of the official absences 1. Health issue: outpatient or inpatient treatment (certificate from the hospital is required) 2. School / National event: official school event, national election, military service etc. 3. Family affair: marriage, funeral, maternity etc.
◈ Required documents (All documents must be written in either Korean or English) A. [General] Application letter (submit through email : sh.choi@cnu.ac.kr) ----- below documents are required to submit in person to office# S231 ----- B. [General] Student's timetable C. [Health issue] Medical record/진료확인서 (treatment date and time must be shown: ex_2019.11.18, 10:00 – 12:00) D. [Health issue] Medical certificate/진단서 (If miss classes more than 6 days) E. [Family affair] Family relation certificate (which can show the relationship with the family member who has the event and the student) F. [Family affair] Official document which can prove the event (ex_a wedding invitation etc.) G. [School event] Official letter from the related department |
